What made you want to try half-frame, and what was your first half-frame camera?
I was looking to try something new, I had already shot full frame 35mm, pinhole and medium format.
First camera was the Kodak H35, which I wasn’t that impressed with the camera but loved the images I was creating with the it.
After this I was lent an Olympus Pen EE3.
What is it you like most about Half-frame?
Originally I would said its saving money on film but now it’s the images I can create using this little camera.
The ability to make little stories using a combination of two, three or more frames.
Also the camera is small enough to carry everyday in a pocket.
Favourite subject and/or Half-frame photo?
Living in a city it’s mainly urban scenes.
I have two favourite images I’ve taken the first is the fallen phone boxes, it was one of the first Penoramas I took with the EE3.
The second is the four images taken along Upnor High Street

Your top tip/s for shooting half frame photos?
Don’t let the 72 frames intimidate you, just have fun and if it takes 6 months to shoot a roll it doesn’t matter.
