What made you want to try half-frame, and what was your first half-frame camera?
It is not about half frame that I want to try, more like this is the camera (Pentax 17) that is available and in production to get at this moment. Also, this is my first proper experiencing film photography process, so half frame is a good start to play around with experiencing different film stock.

What is it you like most about Half-frame?
For most probably the amount of photos that you can get more (2 times) out of 1 roll 135 film, but it can be a disadvantage too when you do your scanning, as it will cost more time and effort. For me personally, I guess it is more of the ease of use of the camera in this case Pentax 17 which is a half frame camera.

Your top tip/s for shooting half frame photos?
Not specific to half frame, but more on doing film photography from digital background in general, you need to know the basic exposure(aperture, shutter speed and iso) in order to get proper and correct result/photo. And of course you need to shoot with different film stock and find which one suit and learn its characteristic in different lighting condition and environment as different film has different character in terms of resolving the scene contrast/color. So, this is the benefit of using half frame, as you have more chance to experiment with different setting in order to get use to that specific film stock.
